Introduction
In recent years there has been a significant progress in our understanding of nonequilibrium thermodynamics in the context of quantum information which has led to new fundamental perspectives and concepts such as thermalization, decoherence, and information thermodynamics. The 8th KIAS School and Workshop on Quantum Information and Thermodynamics aims to introduce the next generation of students and researchers to these important themes. In addition to the pedagogical lectures, this event includes a small workshop for sharing recent research progresses among scientists at the frontier of this field.
