Transportation in Seoul in general

For public transportation (general buses and subways), please do purchase a T-money card, available at convenience stores and subway station. When purchasing and charging a T-money card, using cash (KRW) is essential, so it is advised to exchange currency in advance.

You can pay for the taxi with an international credit card (VISA, MasterCard, etc.) or in cash.

■ By Limousine Bus to Cheongnyangni Station + Taxi/Bus

→ Buy Tickets at the Limousine Bus Ticket machine or Limousine Bus Ticket Stand. You can use international credit card (VISA, MasterCard, etc.) to buy the Limousine Bus Ticket.

→ Take Bus 6002 at Incheon Airport Terminal #1 1Floor or Incheon Airport Terminal #2 Basement.

→ Get off at Cheongnyangni Station.

→ Take a taxi or bus (Exit 2) No. 201. For a taxi, you can pay with an international credit card (VISA, MasterCard, etc.) or in cash (approx. 6,000 KRW). For a bus, you can pay in cash (approx. 1,500 KRW) or with a T-money card. 

→ Destination (using a taxi) : "KAIST Seoul Campus (카이스트 서울 캠퍼스)".

→ Destination bus stop (using a bus) : "KAIST/Hongneung Elementary School"

■ By AREX (Airport Express) to Seoul Station + Taxi/Subway/Bus

→ Buy Tickets (credit card available) for nonstop express AREX ticktet (from Airport to Seoul Station) at the AREX ticket machine or stand.

→ Take the AREX (Airport Railroad Express Train) at Incheon Airport Station and get off at Seoul Station.

[ From Seoul Station ]

o Taxi

→ Take a taxi at Seoul Station. For a taxi, you can pay with an international credit card (VISA, MasterCard, etc.) or in cash (approx. 20,000 KRW). 

→ Destination (using a taxi) : "KAIST Seoul Campus (카이스트 서울 캠퍼스)".

* Traveling Time: ~30 minutes

o Subway + Bus

→ Take the Subway Line #1 at Seoul Station. You need to purchase the Subway ticket in cash or use T-money card.

→ Get off at Hoegi Station

→ Take exit #1 and take bus 273 at "Heogi Traditional Market". For a bus, you can pay in cash (approx. 1,500 KRW) or with a T-money card. 

→ Get off at KAIST/Hongneung Elementary School bus stop

* Traveling Time: 30~40 minutes

o Bus

→ Take the bus No. 201 (Platform 6) at Exit #9-1 of Seoul Station (at Seoul Station bus stop). For a bus, you can pay in cash (approx. 1,500 KRW) or with a T-money card. 

→ Get off at KAIST, Hongneung Elementary School bus stop
