Part 4+5 Home > Part 4+5

This tab displays detailed announcements for Part 4 and Part 5, which will cover anomalies very comprehensively. It covers standard affairs, such as ABJ anomaly and Fujikawa, covariant vs. consistent, anomaly descent, anomaly matching, and anomaly inflows. Also much attention is paid to how the mechanics of diffeomorophism anomalies differ from the gauge/flavor anomalies. Here, some of the lores you may have picked up casually in the past will prove inadequate and the word "remedial" should be taken seriously once more. If time permits, we will move onto the discrete anomalies as well, with the key mathematical fact of the APS index theorem and applications to topological insulators etc. Zoom links and main lecture notes shall be distributed separately.
